Crag Cleanup & Climb

Trace Club Presents: Crag Cleanup & Climb

Featuring: Captura by Escalemos

July 20, 2024 | 4:00PM

A hot but incredible day at Mt. Rubidoux. ☀️

Thanks to everyone who joined the Crag Cleanup and Climb event with our friends @escalemosorg . We appreciate you braving the heat, and showing up.

Due to safety concerns brought on by high temps, we weren’t able to clean as much as we’d have liked, but we are incredibly grateful to @redsendredemption for supporting and guiding us through stewardship efforts in the Mt. Rubidoux area. Understanding the history of a given crag is pivotal to helping sustain its future.

Also, a huge thanks to all the talented photographers who participated in the @EscalemosOrg Captura Workshop. Because of the efforts put in by @danieerioz and her team, we were able to highlight these amazing and diverse local artists: @sabrinaclaros_photography , @moonchildfabian , @monica.henriquez , @jake_takes

Also shout out to our sponsors: @liquiddeath , @madrockhq , @zigzagclimbing , @keepnaturewild , @kayaclimbing

Your involvement underscores the importance of community, cleaning up our beautiful spaces, and protecting the parks, wildlife, and other species that inhabit these areas. Let’s keep moving our bodies with intention and caring for our natural world.

Fabian Garcia

Fabian Garcia, the second-born child of Mexican immigrants, thrives on independence. Growing up as the "wild" or "forgotten" middle child had its challenges, but it also fostered a strong sense of self-reliance. Recently, climbing is Fabian's obsession. Despite starting only a few months ago, he's completely hooked. This adventurous spirit extends to his renewed interest in photography. After a stint in high school yearbook sparked a love for capturing moments, Fabian is re-exploring the world through a lens, this time with a mirrorless camera. He's still searching for his signature style, but the joy of experimentation fuels his passion.
