Print & Play: Botanical Printing Workshop

During this event, something truly special happened. Over 40 beautiful souls came together in the lush, vibrant Elysian Heights Elementary School Garden for a morning of connection, creativity, & community. With the sun shining & laughter echoing through the trees, we gathered to leave a positive trace—not just on fabric, but on each other’s hearts.
From the moment our guests arrived, they were welcomed with homemade hot tea crafted from herbs sourced right from the garden & neighboring Elysian Park, alongside crisp, refreshing natural spring water from @fathersdeer . Every participant laced up a brand-new pair of Teva shoes—ethically made with 100% recycled REPREVE® polyester straps—a reminder that every step we take should honor the planet.
With a Trace Club tote in hand, filled with goodies and a Five Minute Journal from Intelligent Change, everyone wandered through the garden, handpicking flowers and materials for their personalized botanical prints. Creativity bloomed as the group pressed, dyed, and designed their own tote bags, each piece as unique as the hands that made it.
Then came a moment of stillness—a guided journaling and gratitude session. Strangers became friends as we reflected on our goals, shared our thanks, and spoke words of appreciation into existence. In those moments, we were reminded of the power of presence, the beauty of community, and the importance of slowing down to celebrate the simple joys of life.
A massive THANK YOU to @teva for sponsoring this incredible initiative and believing in the power of gathering, creating, and leaving a positive trace. To @ehartsmagnet & their amazing staff, your space and support made this event possible. And to our other sponsors — @fiveminutejournal , @intelligentchange , @fathersdeer , & @ladybyrdcafe your generosity helped bring this vision to life.
Most of all, thank you to every single person who showed up with open hearts, curious hands, & a spirit of connection. YOU are what makes the Trace Club community so special.Until next time, keep creating, keep exploring, & keep leaving a trace worth remembering.
